Galle Dutch Fort in Sri Lanka is one of the main tourist attractions in this beautiful Island Nation. The port city is located in the southern part of Sri Lanka. Galle Fort area is normally filled with bright sun light and fresh air except for the rainy season. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in the year 1588 and later it was extensively fortified by the Dutch Government during its rule around 1600. At the time Sri Lanka was called as Ceylon.

Marvelous Churches, Hospital and other buildings that still remains make you to wonder of the ancient European Architecture. The arches on each of the buildings, upstairs building with balconies, their verandahs and the specially built green terrace squares will remind you of its ancient marvel. Stone paved narrow roads on both sides are filled with small restaurants, bars, coffee shops, spa and souvenir shops will surely attract you venture in to them. No noise pollution in this place and that is the best thing inside of this Fort area, if you don't mind thesound of blowing sea wind over you.
