Galle Dutch Fort in Sri Lanka is one of the main tourist attractions in this beautiful Island Nation. The port city is located in the southern part of Sri Lanka. Galle Fort was first built by the Portuguese in the year 1588 and later it was extensively fortified by the Dutch Government during its rule around 1600. At the time Sri Lanka was called as Ceylon.
