Always agree for the products rental charges on local rupees and check the charges whether it is on hourly basis or on daily basis before accepting the product. Also check the time that you have to return your rented product. If you think that the owner is trying to cheat you don't hesitate to call the tourist police for to assist you.
If you are renting out a auto for a short distance first check the three wheel to have tariff meter, some may have the meter but it won't work. So make sure it is running. And the charge is displayed in local Rs and pay as per it. Paying a small tip is not bad. Always get "Auto" from a stand than stopping and getting in to a running one as it is easy to track it, if you had lost anything in it.

Motorcycles are available for rental in Sri Lanka for the visiting tourists. They must have good experience in driving a motorcycle and must have their own country rider license.
